The Helix Tree is a tree of life. Its spirit spirals up during the dormant time of winter, appearing dead from the outside. But with the warming sun, the tree is gradually reawakened. Life-sap rises from its roots buried deep in the nurturing earth, up through the trunk and branches to each twiglet, producing buds, leaves and fruits. This magical Helix Tree displays an abundance of fruits, nuts and seeds, and supports many birds, animals and insects. When autumn comes and the fruits have been offered to the earth, the tree's life-force once again coils back into the heart of the helix, to await renaissance next spring.
